There are numerous holiday events in South Central Oklahoma to celebrate the season, including parades, tree lighting ceremonies, musical performances, holiday crafts, movies, dinners, a fun run, and many opportunities to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. We've put together this list of winter holiday events to ensure you don’t miss out on a chance to have some fun and create some lasting memories.
2025 Holiday Events in Ada, Oklahoma
Holiday Ornaments & Polar Express Experience at ECU – Dec 2nd, 5pm
Participants can create holiday tree ornaments in the University Center foyer, followed by a screening of The Polar Express in the Estep Multimedia Center, complete with hot chocolate provided by ECU Hospitality & Dining. Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Ada Mainstreet Christmas Parade – Dec 6th, 10am
Christmas on Main Street Ada Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 10 AM to 7 PM features shopping, live entertainment, pictures with Santa, and the Pat Taylor Memorial Parade of Lights from 7 PM to 8 PM. The parade will feature floats created by local businesses, civic organizations, groups, and individuals. Walking groups, bands, and riding clubs will also participate. Many downtown stores will be offering special sales with hot chocolate and other treats.
McSwain Christmas Concerts – Dec 20th & Dec 31st, 7pm
The historic McSwain Theater is holding its annual Christmas Spectacular concerts with Jae L. Stilwell & the Crossover Band, along with more than a dozen special guests. Saturday, Dec. 20, at 7 PM and Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 7 PM.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and $10 for children, with special rates for groups of 15 people or more. Call (580) 332-8108 for more information or to arrange a group ticket package.
2025 Winter Events in Norman, Oklahoma
Norman Christmas Holiday Parade – Dec 6th, 6pm
The annual Norman Christmas Holiday Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 PM, along Main Street from Pickard Ave. to James Garner Ave. Norman's own nationally recognized musical duo, The Imaginaries, will serve as Grand Marshals. The parade ends with the annual tree lighting ceremony followed by a chance to meet Santa, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, make crafts, take photos, and watch live performances. Food trucks will be on hand with a variety of snacking options.
Indoor Movie Night – Dec 12th, 6pm
Enjoy the Christmas classic movie Elf on Friday, Dec. 12, at 6 PM. Activities before the movie will include concessions with specialty treats, crafts, and a sweater contest with prizes provided by Apple Tree Chocolates. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and pillows. Tables and chairs will be provided to enjoy the movie and snacks.

The Ugly Sweater 5K and Fun Run – Dec 13th, 5pm
Attendees are encouraged to wear holiday costumes or the ugliest Christmas whether they have at this event, Saturday, Dec. 13 Legacy Park. Festivities begin at 5 PM. The events are:
• Ugly Sweater 5K from 6:30 PM to 8 PM on a flat and fast 5K certified course. Sign-up cost is $30 but increases after Nov. 30.
• Ugly Sweater One Mile Fun Run/Walk from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Cost is $20 but increases after Nov. 30.
Race shirts are available for $15.
Legacy Park is located at 1898 Legacy Park Drive in Norman, just off of I-35 and Robinson Street, and is next to Redrock Canyon Grill.
The Norman Public School Foundation Gingerbread Jingle – Dec 13th, 10am
At the NSPF Gingerbread Jingle, the foundation offers the chance to decorate preassembled gingerbread houses with gourmet candy and take family photos with Santa, while enjoying sweet treats and more. Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Norman Public School Center for Arts and Learning, 3801 Journey Parkway. Only registered attendees will be allowed to enter, and tickets are required.

The Norman Christmas Day Community Dinner – Dec 25th, 11am
This will be the 39th anniversary of the Norman Christmas Day Community Dinner. The free dinner is open to everyone. It serves the community with a holiday meal and brings together families of all ages
The dinner is held at the Norman High School Commons Cafeteria (911 West Main Street, Norman, OK) on Christmas Day from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Santa will be there to help distribute toys and gifts to the kids and adults. Meals will also be delivered to local residents who are shut-ins. Delivery arrangements should be made by Dec. 21.
This charitable event is supported by local banks, businesses, and private donations. Contributions of $500 or more will receive free advertising on the organization’s website and the Norman Transcript. All donations are tax-deductible.
Holiday Activities in Sulphur, Oklahoma
Sulphur Christmas Parade of Lights – Dec 1st, 5pm
The annual Sulphur Christmas Parade of Lights will be held Monday, Dec. 1, from 6 PM to 8 PM in downtown Sulphur. Parade entries will include lighted floats, cars, trucks, golf carts, and motorcycles, along with walkers and horses. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance.
Bingo for a Purpose – Dec 6th, 5pm
This fundraiser will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Bingo starts at 5:30 PM. Concessions will be offered, and prizes will be awarded. This annual event is to raise funds for Sulphur Christmas Lights. The event is held at the Murray County Expo Center, 3490 State Hwy 7.
Chickasaw Cultural Center Christmas Celebration – Dec 6th, 10am
The Chickesaw Cultural Center’s annual free Christmas Celebration will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 AM to 5 PM, featuring a Christmas story book reading with Mrs. Claus, free pictures with Santa, holiday-themed make-and-take activities, gift shop sales, and kids' holiday films.
Chickasaw Cultural Center Christmas Dinner – Dec 6th, 5pm
A Christmas Dinner and Movie will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Aaimpa' Café, with a three-course meal, including dessert, and a screening of the Christmas classic “White Christmas.” Admission is $25 per person and includes a bottled drink and popcorn during the film. A hot chocolate bar will be available throughout the event. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (580) 622-7130 or emailing Special.EventsCCC@chickasaw.net.
