Meet Adriana Byington, Branch Manager & Retail Banking Officer
Norman, Oklahoma
What do you love about working at Vision Bank?
One thing I love about working at Vision Bank is the genuine camaraderie throughout the organization. When I describe our bank to new employees, prospective customers or anyone who asks, I always highlight the strong culture we’ve built. You know an organization has something special when many of its longest-tenured bankers retire after spending decades serving the bank and their communities.
What makes community banking different?
Community banking is different because it’s built on relationships. We take the time to really see our customers, listen to their needs and concerns, and help guide them as trusted financial partners. Whether it’s providing financial expertise or simply lending a listening ear, those personal connections make all the difference. I especially enjoy the sincere relationships our branches build within the communities we serve.
What is a financial tip you share most often with customers?
One tip I frequently share with customers is to use our totally free checking account as a savings tool. It provides the flexibility to build savings while still having quick access to funds if an emergency arises without the worry of fees. Because our accounts are simple to open and manage, customers can keep their finances organized, accessible and ready when they need them most.
What does Vision mean to you in your role?
To me, vision means helping my retail team see their full potential and supporting their growth along the way. It often means giving them a vision and long-term outlook on their capabilities. I’ve always enjoyed onboarding new employees and watching their development from day one to where they are today. Sometimes the vision for their future may seem unrealistic at first, but by day 90 they’ve often exceeded those expectations. In my role, vision means always looking ahead while also being present enough to witness growth and development in real time.
