What is one thing you love about working at Vision Bank? 

One thing I love about working at Vision Bank is the support and compassion Vision Bank shows towards the co-workers and the customers. When I would come in the bank as a 16-year-old cashing my checks, I knew then I wanted to work at Vision Bank because the environment was so different walking in. It’s noticeable how much Vision Bank truly cares about their people and their community.

What makes community banking different? 

Community banking is different because a customer isn’t a number, they are a relationship. We are always looking for ways to make an impact in our communities whether it’s showing up for a basketball game for a local school, grilling hot dogs for the police department or just serving burgers at the livestock shows. We are a great example of our motto, “See the Difference”.

What is your favorite feature we offer customers right now?

My favorite feature that we offer to customers is our Card Control in our app. It makes it so easy for customers to manage their debit card themselves. It’s so easy to forget to notify the bank you’re taking a trip when you’ve been planning it, packing for it and on the road. With Card Control, you can place travel notes and even status your card if you lost it. Such a crucial feature right at your fingertips.

What does Vision mean to you in your role today? 

“Vision” in my role means looking ahead and planning ahead. Our vision today and every day is to play an important role for our co-workers and our communities. With “Vision”, I am always thinking of what lies ahead, how are we going to respond and what will make the biggest difference. With technology and trends everchanging, you have to have vision to stay up to date with those changes and how to make them impactful in a positive way.

What is a fun fact about you? 

A fun fact about me is that I chose to work at Vision Bank is because of my dad who passed in June 2017. He loves eagles and his favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31. When he saw the eagle in our logo, he said, “That’s where we are banking.” Little did I know then that Vision Bank would become my career and passion.
